It Gets Better – Random House

Client: Random House Bertelsmann

Now a global phenomenon, the It Gets Better project was started in 2010 in response to the suicides of teenagers who were bullied because they were gay or because their peers suspected that they were gay.  The goal is to prevent suicide among LGBT youth by having gay adults convey the message that these teens’ lives will improve.  Among the thousands of video contributions to the Internet-based project are many from major corporations.  Random  House, the largest general-interest trade book publisher in the world, approached us to produce their contribution to the project.  Over the course of two emotional and inspiring days, producer Rachel Talbot interviewed LGBT members of the company’s staff about their experiences and compiled this powerful video.
